Our Impact
For the past 15 years, Samvedna has been walking alongside children and individuals with disabilities, bringing hope, dignity, and opportunities where once there were barriers.
Over 400 beneficiaries have been supported and empowered through Samvedna’s initiatives . When Samvedna began its journey, awareness about disability was almost non-existent. Deep-rooted stigma and misconceptions left many individuals hidden, unheard, and excluded. While challenges remain, meaningful change has begun. Today, families and communities are gradually moving from hesitation to acceptance, understanding, and inclusion. Samvedna has helped bring individuals with disabilities out from isolation, enabling them to step beyond the four walls of their homes and into a world of connection, learning, and possibility. For many families, Samvedna has truly become a ray of hope.
Therapy and essential medical support, aids and appliances, assistive devices are provided at beneficiaries’ doorsteps, ensuring that care reaches even those with limited mobility or access. Every beneficiary is embraced with compassion and respect, valued not for limitations but for their inherent worth and potential. Many children have been enrolled in schools, exercising their Right to Education and experiencing the joy of learning. Samvedna’s staff and volunteers have advocated tirelessly for disability pensions, enabling numerous beneficiaries to receive vital monthly financial support. Several differently abled individuals are now engaged in livelihood activities, gaining confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose. ASHA and Anganwadi workers have been trained in early identification of disabilities, strengthening early intervention and improving support for families. Through community and school awareness programs, attitudes are slowly transforming. Schools and community members now participate openly in events such as World Disability Day, reflecting growing acceptance and solidarity.
Samvedna’s journey is not only about services, it is about restoring dignity, nurturing ability, and creating a more inclusive society where every individual is seen, valued, and given the chance to thrive.
